sweet dreams

Yesterday, during a particular grueling day at work, I got an email from Kimberly in Canada. She got the pillowcases and sent me a pic of Matty the Woodchuck resting on the groundhog pillowcases I made. It totally made my day! Thanks, Kimberly and Matilda!

little books

These little books always look like easter eggs to me. I just added a few new ones to the shop.

Meet Mathilda the Woodchuck!

A couple weeks ago I sold a couple groundhog pillowcases to Kimberly in Canada. I checked out her profile and it said that she had a pet Woodchuck. I asked her about it and she shared with me the link to her pictures. Oh my gosh, I want a woodchuck!! I like the idea that Matilda the Woodchuck will rest her little head on my groundhog pillowcases!

Meet Matilda and Kimberly! They sure have a lot of fun.

tied up with ribbon

Sometimes it is so enjoyable to send something off to someone. I love that someone chooses to buy my little creations and I very lovingly (usually) send it off to it's new home (This particular package is off to Australia). It is a different kind of bittersweet feeling when someone buys something from The Cedar Chest, because even though I like it, I love knowing that is going to a new home that will appreciate it more.

Anyway, thanks for the orders this last week. Groundhog pillowcases seem to be a hit. Was it just a Groundhogs Day fervor? I will probably do more eventually, but other designs on the way.

Also, I am currently working on a new Current Resident. Thanks everyone!

Here is a collection of my favorite valentines on Etsy. There are some good ones, but it takes a lot of wading through some really mediocre ones to find them. Lots of vintage Valentines on Etsy, too!
