pretty things

I think I may have mentioned this before, but I have been craving pretty things lately. Not cute things, but pretty things. It seems to have started with winter and the new Victoria magazine and having tea parties. Lately I find myself longing to look at girly intricate pretty things. I think it is mostly winter. The trees looks like lace, all the branches entwined against the grey sky. Winter always makes me feel more old fashioned, if that makes any sense at all. It makes me long for those things. The cold weather makes me want hot tea and the promise of valentines, all pink and pretty, are a nice thing to think about.

Although this is even a little too pink for my current desires, I have to say it is a lovely piece for a nice afternoon tea. And what a great idea. From hillspeak

And this paper lace is so pretty from brookerpie. I just got some in terra cotta. I have no idea what I will do with it, but I will hopefully find some way to show it off. Good for Valentine making.
